Nutritional Therapy

“If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have found the safest way to health” (Hippocrates)

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Before we answer this, first let us look at what is meant by “good health” or wellness. Here at balance nutrition we believe that good health is when an individual is feeling the best that they can, given the circumstances they find themselves in.

We meet with our clients knowing that every one of them is unique. Age, sex, genetics, chronic health conditions, allergies, home environment, finances, hobbies, habits, and so much more, are factors which influence our overall health.

We all live in a body that is truly an incredible machine, which is driven by a complex set of biochemical reactions between hormones, enzymes and neurotransmitters, and no one else has exactly the same reaction to the world around us and the food we eat, as we do.

So, what the trained nutritional therapists here at balance nutrition do, is we work with our clients and if necessary, (and only with permission!) with their medical providers, to consider the best way that your body’s needs can be met with the lifestyle and food that you eat.
